Yes. Our carers support people living with Parkinson's, stroke recovery, diabetes, dementia and Alzheimer's, and other long-term conditions every day. Care plans are built around the condition, covering medication timing, mobility, diet and mood, and reviewed with family and healthcare professionals as things change.
Many families pay privately, but there is help available. If your parent's assets are below £23,250, Surrey County Council may contribute after a needs and financial assessment. Attendance Allowance (£76.70 or £114.60 a week) isn't means-tested and most people over State Pension age with care needs qualify.
